Craving seafood? Go to Ed’s- it’s a straight-forward, unpretentious restaurant. Great for raw bar, steamers, and grilled seafood. The pan seared scallops were cooked perfectly. For seafood lovers, there’s nothing worse than looking forward to scallops only to bite into something chewy and overcooked right? The entree came with seasoned mashed potatoes and sauteed, julienned squash & carrots. We also had the crab & artichoke dip appetizer. Didn’t top our “favorites” list, but was very good. For dessert, the waiter brought us complimentary dark chocolate lobsters. Cute.

Service was great. We got there for dinner around 6:30pm on a Friday night so we beat the rush, which we recommend for a better experience. (We read a lot of reviews about longs waits.)
The menu consists of a wide variety of choices- from raw bar to fried chicken, duck, lobster, and even hamburger. We had the Red Trout ($23.50) and Sweet and Spicy Catfish entrees ($22). If you want fish, this is the place to come. Not anything super special to report, but still very tasty.
The real star of the night in our opinion was the Oxtail appetizer. It is so buttery, so savory, so flavorful. So good. A little greasy at first, but you’ll walk out of there craving more later in the night.
